Nazareth partners with the following community organizations to supplement the services provided to and enrich the lives of its youth and their families:

Local Sports Leagues & Athletic Groups in Leicester, Massachusetts

The youth at the Nazareth Home participate in a variety of sports on local teams, such as little league baseball, basketball and soccer. Through participation, the youth learn the value of teamwork and build healthy relationships with other youth and adults in the community. Local teams and athletic groups also have accessed the gymnasium at Nazareth for practice and activities.  Community athletic groups volunteer at Nazareth to teach the youth activities such as yoga, safe bicycling, and swimming lessons.

Local Colleges & Universities in the Massachusetts area

The Nazareth Home maintains internships for child & adolescent psychiatry & psychology graduate students under the supervision and guidance of Dr. Richard Hummel from Personal Resources Inc. The internships last from 12 to 26 weeks, depending on the students’ and the schools’ individual program criteria. Both the youth and the interns benefit from the one-on-one interaction, trust-building exercises, and new therapeutic approaches & techniques. A previous intern started an art therapy program, which is still in practice today. The licensed clinicians at Nazareth also mentor clinical social & human services undergraduates.

Local Churches & Faith-based Organizations in the Worcester, Massachusetts area

Nazareth Home is affiliated with the Catholic Diocese of Worcester as a long-standing Partner in Charity.  Nazareth appreciates the year-round support and sponsorship of many local churches and faith-based organizations.  Every year, local churches deliver Christmas gifts to the youth at Nazareth.

Local Clubs & other Organizations in the Worcester, Massachusetts area

The youth at Nazareth are encouraged to volunteer and take part in other community clubs, organizations and activities. They help serve meals at the local soup kitchens and sort recyclable materials at the local recycling center. The Leicester Garden Club annually donates seeds, plants and gardening supplies for the garden Nazareth’s youth cultivate.  A local nightclub held a two-day motorcycle ride fundraiser and purchased 16 new bicycles, one for each youth at Nazareth.
