Volunteers are an important and essential aspect to the work of Nazareth. We accept volunteers from all walks of life who have an interest and ability to form relationships with the children in our care or who wish to provide a service to the agency. The time commitment and frequency of volunteering vary, however, consistency is very important for our impressionable youth. Volunteers who come as an individual, as families and/or in groups are an integral part of our treatment process and an asset to the success of our work. As such, they are provided training and a period of orientation before being assigned to work with a child, group of children or performing other tasks. Ongoing supervision gives volunteers an opportunity to discuss their experience and assess their interactions with the children.
Our non-profit has an abundance of opportunities and are approachable to ideas and requests. We have varying degrees and types of volunteering. Below are a few examples.
Longer term volunteer opportunities:
- Visiting Resource
- Lifelong Family Connection
- Special Interest
Volunteer opportunities with children:
- On-grounds or off-grounds activities with youth
- School-time or gym-time activities
Other volunteer opportunities:

- Light housekeeping/maintenance
A CORI (Criminal Offense Record Inventory) check is required of all volunteers.
