These youth present with unique needs that require special care and attention. Nazareth provides individually designed services to give our emotionally and behaviorally challenged youth what they need to build on their strengths. These include (but are not limited to) small group living, out-patient medical services, on-site nursing services, dental care, speech and occupational therapy, individual, family & group therapy, psychological testing, psychiatric treatment, social support services to family, pre-vocational & vocational counseling, and recreational activities on grounds and in the local community. Nazareth offers in-house special education to residential and day students Kindergarten through 8th grade. Classrooms are typically comprised of one teacher and a classroom aide with four to eight students. The 9th through 12th grade youth attend special education programs outside Nazareth provided by local public and private schools.
